Book here   your flight, accommodation and a variety of extra services and save time and money.If you choose to travel by boat  you will find ferry services that  links Tunis to Malta, Trapani (Sicily, Italy), Naples (Italy), Genoa (Italy) and Marseille (France).Additionally if you choose to travel by  train you will find the  national train company SNCFT which  runs modern and comfortable trains from Tunis south to Sousse, Sfax and Monastir.

You will also find  three classes of service, Grand confort (deluxe 1st), 1st and 2nd,  which all are quite adequate. Example fares from Tunis to Sousse are 12/10/6 dinars in Grand/1st/2nd class.  Buy a carte bleu (blue card) that costs around 20 dinars for a week and you will have the chance to   travel all around the country using the banlieu (short distance train) and grande ligne (long distance). Bear in mind that as   far as  long distance  trips go   you will have to make a reservation and pay a small fee  of 1,50 dinars.

A variety  of shared taxis at your disposal with no  timetables, will be  waiting for you  in the  station which is generally near a train station if your destination is accessible by train. They are nearly as cheap as the walk up train fares and operate with fixed prices . A taxi from the airport to the centre of Tunisia should cost no more than 8 Dinars during the day and no more than 15 Dinars at night. Each taxi has a meter which should be turned on as soon as you enter the taxi.

You will find the majority of   museums  closed on Mondays, whereas many on-site archeological museums  are open throughout the whole  week. An entrance fee is usually charged.
